Contractual obligations of the university to parents paying all fees/accomodation?

We are completely financing our child's university education/accomodation etc. Given the cost involvement, what obligations do the university have to involve us in the provision of the course?
I'm afraid none at all. Students paying for the course themselves are not given special treatment when on the course.

With the fees being so much more expensive there is certainly more cause to air frustrations if you feel the course's provision doesn't match the fees. Hence this body being created to deal with complaints:
