Four A* at A-Level but still didn't get accedpted to study law

Please can I have an explanation as to why my daughter, didn't get accepted to study law in the UK at the top four universities despite her having 4A* in all her subjects. Is it because of her background?
Answered by Alison Patterson
All applications to UK universities for undergraduate degrees are made online through UCAS (www.ucas.com) in the months before A level results. If your daughter made an application it will have been considered systematically by universities along with all the others. Competition is very tough and getting an offer is a great achievement. Your daughter should consider applying to UCAS for entry next year. With 4 A* A levels she will be in a strong position.
