How many universities can I apply to for undergraduate study?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Application is online to the Central Admissions facility UCAS at www.ucas.com The maximum choices is five in the first instance (except for Oxford and Cambridge where you only get one chance). There are special rules relating to applications to study at Oxford and Cambridge and to study Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.

Read our full guide to applying for more information, make sure you read through all pages thoroughly:

For postgraduate study the rules are quite different and generally you would apply direct to the academic department you are interested in joining.
