Entry requirements - US applicants

My daughter has been living in the USA for the past 4 years (before that she was at secondary school in London) and it now looks like she and her mother may be coming back to the UK when she finishes High School next year.

How would a UK citizen go about applying for a university place but with a US High School Diploma. Her qualifications will be a US High School diploma (with 3 AP subjects) and a good 4.3 grade average, will that suffice? Thanks for the help!
Hi there,

She'll have to apply via UCAS and because of her qualifications she will be considered an international student - www.ucas.com/how-it-all-works/international/how-ap...y.

UK universities are more than familiar with international qualifications and most certainly US ones. For example, here is the info for US applicants to the University of Sheffield - www.sheffield.ac.uk/international/countries/north-...y

They ask for a High School Diploma with a grade point average of more than 3 and minimum of 3 Advanced Placements Tests of grades 4 or 5. It sounds as though your daughter may well have the entry requirements needed to attend a top quality UK university.
