As you explore cultural, historical and socio-political themes and issues, you will be challenged to think deeply - both within and across disciplines and genres - about America’s pervasiveness and influence. In the early stages of the course, you will receive a good grounding in the subject and then progress to modules on more specific themes. And, as you grow in confidence, there is plenty of opportunity for independent project work.**Study abroad**You can choose to spend the second part of your second year in Europe or North America, experiencing a different academic culture, acquiring a new set of skills and deepening your global perspectives.
