Course summary

Why BA Geography (2 years fast-track)?

On this accelerated degree you will graduate in 2 years and therefore save money on tuition fees, accommodation and general living costs. You will stand out from the crowd, demonstrating drive, focus and employability. It also means that you will start earning or begin postgraduate study a year earlier. The faster pace of study is made achievable by this well-structured degree, involving some concentrated intervals of work in the early summer. Your academic programme will focus on population, migration, conflict, development, global crime, health and ageing. These present some of the most pressing social challenges of this century, are inherently geographical in nature and are the focus of our BA Geography degree. With this world view, breadth of content and the development of an extensive range of research skills, geography graduates continue to be highly sought after across a vast range of employment sectors. On this Royal Geographical Society-accredited degree, you'll progress from field training in the UK to field research overseas, forging unforgettable field experiences in the landscapes of Europe, Africa and the Americas. The flexibility of our degrees mean that you have the option to select Physical Geography themes on our companion BSc course or indeed switch to the BSc up until the end of Year 1. You can also benefit from our internship and professional experience modules, gaining a competitive edge by networking with potential employers and gaining academic credit towards your degree.
