The Course


In this course you will have the opportunity to be supervised by leading researchers in your field and take advantage of our rich Researcher Development programme which will help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to complete your research degree but also enhance the skills you will need in any future career. The Research at Worcester has grown significantly in the last 10 years as the University itself has expanded. Our staff has expertise in Occupational Health, Physiotherapy, Nutritional Therapy, Nursing, Paramedics, Midwifery, Social Work, Dementia Studies, Child Health, Public Health, Palliative and End of Life Care. The Allied Health Studies team at Worcester have an excellent range of resources available to support your learning and your research project, including; Ability House which includes a state of the art assistive technology equipment, Centre, Simulation and excellent partnerships with local Trusts, Health Services and Social Care Services. Some of the topic being researched by our current MPhil students includes the implication for under five’s nutritional status of parent’s food knowledge, attitudes and practice; and diet quality and wellbeing in those living with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
