This course will build a solid foundation for your continuing study. You will be taught by highly experienced events practitioners, all members of the UK Centre for Events Management, the leading provider of events education in the country, which is based here at the University. Events have become important markers in all our lives. From massive events like Glastonbury Festival to intricate product launches, you will study the legal side of events, gain the ability to plan and implement all sizes of events, manage volunteers and adhere to all relevant licensing requirements. You will learn how to produce a wide variety of events, whether for a multinational company, your own business or any size of organisation in-between. Our applied management course is dedicated to getting you into the events industry, and our experienced lecturers will help you find your way. All modules on the course are contextualized into the events industry - everything you learn will have a practical application when you begin your career. You will graduate with the knowledge and confidence to work in any sector in the events industry. You could choose to set up your own events management business, and you will also have the transferable skills to make you highly employable in a vast number of different careers. Many of our graduates find work with their placement company and quickly progress to senior management. You could also continue your studies at postgraduate level.
