The Course

Summary

This course introduces you to an exciting and thriving international discipline, where creative and technical skills combine to transform three-dimensional spaces. From the outset, we will encourage you to explore critical issues in contemporary design, nurturing the ability to not only react to opportunities, but also to be responsible for creating them. You will gain an in-depth understanding of architecture and design and a working knowledge of materials and building technology, as well as the skills required to create inventive and relevant interior spaces, bringing your ideas to life. 2D and 3D experimentation in our dynamic, collaborative studio environment will allow you to focus on design development by exploring form, scale, light and colour, digital design processes and building construction. We also have a strong focus on preparing you for your future career. Our challenging live projects and successful work placement programme offers invaluable opportunities for you to establish key contacts, gain experience and broaden your skill set. Recent graduates have secured positions in a wide range of design areas such as retail leisure, exhibitions and events, offices and conferences, hotels and clubs, residential, cruise ships and transportation, film sets, and computer animation.
