The Course

This course is designed for registered and qualified physiotherapists, this course gives you the opportunity to specialise in one of four areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal and manual therapy. Practical sessions are an important part of this course and, depending on the units you choose, you’ll learn techniques such as soft tissue manipulation and manual therapy techniques. You’ll typically work on simulated patients if you choose the Management of the Acutely Ill and Critically Ill Patient unit. Our lecturers are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and many still work in practice alongside teaching. Our teaching team also includes researchers with expertise across a range of specialisms, including knee dysfunction, spinal dysfunction, and musculoskeletal interventions. Our course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
