UCAS Tariff: 128–112 A typical offer will require a UCAS Tariff score between 112-128 points; or an Access to Nursing qualification (minimum of 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction, 12 at Merit, and 3 at Pass).In addition, you will require five GCSEs including Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above (or equivalent).

The Course

Summary

This programme is no different. During your time on the programme, you will be working alongside experienced health care professionals and we will help you become a caring, confident and practice-ready children's nurse. You will benefit from an excellent standard of teaching provided by staff from the University and practice, in partnership with our NHS Trust partners. You will be taught by lecturers who have a wide expertise in the field. Our lecturers also maintain close links with practice, ensuring that the programme is up-to-date with modern practice. We have simulation facilities to enable you to practise your skills in a realistic and safe environment. We offer continuous support throughout the programme, both in the University and in practice. You will receive personal tutoring and benefit from a high level of research within the teaching team. You will also benefit from our annual one day inter-professional conference, focused on safeguarding.

Career prospects: We've been running nursing programmes for many years and have a high rate of employability. 98 per cent of our students are in employment or in further study six months after graduating. Many of our students are employed by the Trust that they worked with during their time at the University. Nursing itself is a broad area and you'll have the chance to go into many careers, such as: accident and emergency; community settings, for example school nurse or health visitor; general paediatrics; general practice surgeries; intensive care; outpatient day surgeries; private healthcare providers; researcher - promoting advances in health care and health promotion practice. Throughout your time with us we'll support you on the route to your chosen career. We'll help you to develop crucial skills, encouraging you to become enterprising, employable and good leaders. We work with our partners to provide placements for our students, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills in practice. Our modules and teaching expertise will help you become more independent as a learner and more certain of your discipline expertise.
