The Course

Summary

Quantity Surveyors, with their strong commercial and contractual bias, are the financial services of the construction industry - the kind of position that suits problem-solvers with analytical minds. On this accredited degree you’ll follow a broad and rigorous programme of studies, picking up a sound understanding of the fundamentals, principles and applications of construction technology, management and economics. You’ll also explore the legal issues relevant to the building industry. You’ll graduate safe in the knowledge that you have a thorough understanding of your chosen profession, and ready to progress to higher managerial positions.Our BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree will develop the professional skills of project management, negotiation and dispute resolution which are applied throughout the project. You will also learn how to use the subject-specific software associated with quantity surveying, all of which help prepare you for a smooth transition into the workplace. You will also study alongside students on the construction management, facilities management and building surveying degrees, allowing you to share knowledge across programmes and the opportunity to transfer if you wish to.
