Course summary

Our Clinical Counselling course builds on the University’s reputation of offering quality professional training in counselling for several years.

Course overview

The complexities of modern life present many situations in which counselling can be valuable. Our Master’s course provides professional education for developing qualities in relationship with others, enabling individuals to discover their own resources for a more creative, optimistic, and autonomous way of being that is key to counselling.

Job prospects

On successful completion of the course, students can join the register of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and once they have successfully completed 450 client hours, they can become accredited members of the professional body. The course does contribute to them becoming professional counsellors working in such fields as the NHS, charities, mental health/support workers, teaching or private practice.
