**We are very proud to be ranked 6th in the UK and top in London for Fashion (Guardian University Guide league tables 2020)****Reasons to choose Kingston**– This course received more than 91 per cent overall student satisfaction (National Student Survey 2018).– It has been awarded the Creative Skillset Tick (Fashion Design category), which recognises outstanding courses and their contribution to the creative industries.– This course is one of only a handful of worldwide institutions to have been awarded four badges of excellence by the Business of Fashion 2019 (for Best Overall, Best in Global Influence, Best in Learning Experience and Best in Long-term Value). – It is the only BA course from the UK invited to exhibit at the knitwear show Pitti Filati in Florence.**About this course**On this course, you’ll develop your fashion signature, experimenting across sketch work, 2D to 3D, knitwear and digital print. You’ll study all aspects of the design process, including photography, styling, cut and construction, trend concepts and sustainable design. In Year 3, you’ll create your own collection and portfolio, which will be displayed at the Rose Theatre, Kingston and at our on-campus degree show. There will be opportunities to participate in sponsored projects and international competitions by brands including Burberry, Mulberry and Coach, Inditex (Zara), Tommy Hilfiger, Old Navy, Urban Outfitters and ASOS. Selected students display at the Graduate Fashion Week in London. The preferred entry route to this course is via a foundation diploma in Art & Design.

The preferred entry route for this course is for applicants to be taking a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, or the recognised equivalent.Applicants will need a minimum of 128 tariff points from recognised Level 3 qualifications.Plus GCSE (A*–C or comparable numeric scores under the newly reformed GCSE gradings): five subjects including English and Maths (Key Skills and Functional Skills Level 2 may be used in lieu of GCSE English and Maths).Offers will be made on the basis of your UCAS application, portfolio of work and interview for selected applicants.You will be notified by email giving you advice about how to upload your online portfolio, once we have received your application.
