Course Summary

This five-year course is a big commitment. But if you’re focused on a career in aerospace the benefits are considerable. It includes a year in industry, for which you’re paid a salary, and a group project where you help design, build and fly an unmanned aerial vehicle. Staff in the department work closely with Boeing, Airbus UK, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and others. You will work on a research project led by an academic. And you’ll take part in the faculty’s Global Engineering Challenge, a team exercise designed to make you a better engineer.You graduate with an MEng, which meets all the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Graduates work in aerospace design, aviation, manufacturing, energy and other specialisms, for employers such as Airbus, BP, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Rolls-Royce and the Ministry of Defence.
