Course Summary

German is a world language with a culture that has had a profound international influence since the Middle Ages and which preserves its status as an important language for business and politics to this day. On this programme you will take an intensive language course, developing your professional speaking, presentation, writing and translation skills, and will engage with significant literary and cultural works from the Middle Ages to the present, as well as with films from the 1920s onwards. You will be taught by experienced and qualified language tutors and by scholars who are working at the cutting edge of research.
