Our BA Geography degree provides students with a highly transferable set of skills and an understanding of the complex world in which we live. On this course you will learn how economic, social and cultural processes affect health and wellbeing, human-environment relations, and the market-economy. You will have the opportunity to learn about the similarities, differences and challenges encountered by people who live across our inter-connected planet, using tools such as Geographical Information Systems. The overseas field course is an important milestone in developing your skills as a researcher, giving you the opportunity to undertake human geographical research in international cities. Further optional overseas field courses allow you to hone these skills in the diverse and unique environments that European and South East Asian locations offer. About this University
The University of Southampton dates back to 1862: located on the south coast of England, it is close to the New Forest and the Isle of Wight.
