This is a diverse programme allowing you to combine the study of French with International Relations. International Relations course covers such topics as politics, economics and the diplomatic history of the 20th century. Combined with the opportunity to study at a European university, it offers a unique opportunity to learn in a truly international and interdisciplinary way. In a world of growing interdependence, the need for a wider understanding of international affairs becomes more crucial every day. Our International Relations with a Language courses allow you to combine study of a modern language with international relations, which is itself interdisciplinary and covers such topics as politics, economics and the diplomatic history of the 20th century. Students applying for this degree at Birmingham will join the Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS), a department that scores high in the National Student Survey (NSS).
