Course summary
This degree will teach you how to prepare and interpret financial and managerial information for a variety of users. Choose to spend your third year in industry and you could gain real life experience and boost your CV at companies like JP Morgan, Deloitte or EY. • 100% of BSc Accounting and Finance with Placement Year students were either satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of their course (University of Southampton analysis of unpublished NSS data, 2022)• You'll gain a sound understanding of investment and finance, and increase your employability by completing a year's paid work placement in industry. • Our research-focused academics keep the course up to date with the latest financial, regulatory and accounting requirements and trends. You'll also have the opportunity to work with companies like PwC on real industry projects. • This course is very flexible and can be tailored to your own interests and career plans. Choose optional modules in a range of business and management topics. • Benefit from our strong links with industry and attend guest lectures.
