Course Summary

This course enables you to acquire an in-depth knowledge of Spanish language and Hispanic culture while developing your ability as an analyst of international economic phenomena. 50% of your degree will be in Economics and 50% in the School of Modern Languages. Warwick offers an innovative approach to Hispanic Studies, combining the study of the Spanish language with the study of the diverse range of Hispanic cultures across Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, and even aspects of Hispanic history in Africa and the Pacific. We will track your progress through a variety of methods, including language assignments, essays, presentations, portfolio submissions and examinations (written and oral). Our Modern Languages graduates work for organisations including: British Council, BBC, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, PWC, Ministry of Defence, TeachFirst, United Nations, Amnesty International.
