**Course summary*** Convert organisational needs into Business Requirements that drive strategic improvements.* Develop and interpret the results of analytical work for actionable insights.* Explore aspects of digital innovation in a variety of contexts including marketing, customer service, finance, retail, healthcare and social media.* Learn introductory coding and Data Science.* Work with local businesses on real projects.* Study a language or specialist business subject in your elective module.* Undertake a year-long paid work placement and optional semester abroad.This course is about preparing you to become an integral team member in the digital evolution of organisations.Following a highly practical approach, your learning takes place in a wide variety of settings in order to cater to different learning styles and behaviours.You learn through:* live projects with real businesses* work placement* semester abroad* self-study and collaborative work* analytical study and critical thinking* presentations* class discussions and problem-solving**Applied learning****Work placements**You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career with companies such as GSK, NHS, Microsoft, SAP and Virgin. Salaries of up to £30,000 are possible. Your established track record in industry will help you to gain higher paid roles when you graduate.You also have the option to study abroad for a semester in your second year if you are successful in applying to the global mobility initiative, which allows you to choose from over 40 European destinations and 20 other international university partnerships under English instruction.**Live projects**With the support of academics you will solve real-world client decision problems in a number of modules over your time on your course, including a consultancy assignment in your third year. This combination of theory and practice with real organisations is designed to support your personal and professional development as you become a more capable Business Analyst.
