Course summary

Develop the skills needed to respond to today’s challenges and create better materials and molecular systems. Designed to meet the needs of STEM graduates or professionals, this course will prepare you to work on cross-disciplinary projects in industry and academia. You'll gain a grounding in the science and engineering aspects of molecular engineering. This includes an exploration of how recent advances in molecular science allow engineers to make, measure and model materials with unprecedented accuracy. You'll also use computer-aided approaches to assess the relationship between experiments, models and design of molecular systems. A collaborative research project carried out with an external partner is a major component of your studies. During this project, you'll apply your cross-disciplinary skills from the course to a defined industrial research problem.
