Are you interested in learning how different approaches to education impact learning and development? Our accredited Psychology and Education degree combines psychological and educational theory-based methodologies providing you with transferable skills relevant to a range of careers. These include teaching, educational psychology, youth work and social work.

You will explore a range of topics that focus on how psychology impacts everyday life including biological bases of behaviour, cognition, individual differences, human social interaction and lifespan development. To bring your learning to life, you will design and conduct your own psychological studies in our state-of-the art laboratories, for example conducting experiments or designing surveys.Education modules have a strong focus on contemporary issues in education and policy making. You will consider topics including education's relationship to the economy, the nature of learning, childhood and educational inclusion, as well as the history of education. You will also work on a final year project. This is an exciting opportunity to conduct a piece of research on a topic of your choice. You will work with an academic supervisor to develop a scientific research question you can address.
