**Our English literature degree offers the chance to explore British literature and the cultural and literary history of Europe and the Americas.****Why study this at Greenwich?*** The programme enables students to specialise in the study of poetry, the novel, film and theatre, while also incorporating courses from a variety of other subjects* Focusses on literature from the last two centuries* Looks at the historical, social and cultural contexts in which texts are produced and received* English literature is interpreted broadly to include drama and visual narratives as well as fiction and poetry, visual art, film and theatre* Full advantage is taken of our culturally and historically rich location and proximity to central London. Visits to theatres, art galleries and museums are integral to many modules English Literature is a BA Hons degree offered by the Department of Literature, Language and Theatre. It allows you to specialise in the study of poetry, the novel, film and theatre, while also incorporating courses from a variety of other subject pathways.This programme emphasises the literature of the last two centuries, and English literature is interpreted broadly to include drama and visual narratives as well as fiction and poetry, visual art, film and theatre. The programme looks at the historical, social and cultural contexts in which texts are produced and received.
