This is the only postgraduate programme on Family Group Conferences in England and Wales.
You will:

Teaching:
The course is online distance learning. You will be able to access online lectures at a time of your choosing. You also have access to tutor support as negotiated with your tutor.
You are taught through online lectures and tutorials. Each module consists of 10 hours of lectures and 6 hours of tutorials. The majority of your learning will take place in your work setting.
Independent learning
When not involved in lectures and tutorials you will continue learning independently through self-study. We advise you should take around xx hours of independent study per week. Typically, this will involve reading journal articles and books, undertaking research in the library and preparing coursework assignments. Your independent learning is supported by a range of excellent facilities, including the library, the learning zone, and our engineering and computer laboratories.
ASSESSMENT:
The evaluation takes the form of formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments enable students to gauge their learning and development during the course of each module and to prepare them for summative assessment. Formative assessments include peer and tutor review and feedback on development of written work both in class and electronically online. The learning is experientially driven and enquiry-led, with opportunities to review the assimilation of knowledge, critical skills and supervision skills.
Summative assessment strategies include:
- A written essay addressing issues of theory and practice
- A portfolio reflecting on supervision practice
- Supervision skills assessment
