Explore your creativity and expand your professional skills by entering the creative industries on an Integrated Foundation Year degree. Taught over four years, these courses include an introductory year to build a solid foundation before you go on to specialise in your chosen subject at degree level. If you're interested in taking on a new subject, or have been out of education for a while, then our Integrated Foundation Year courses might just be for you. These four-year courses include an introductory year to help you build the core skills needed for degree-level study. This is a chance for you to let your imagination run wild and explore your creativity, expand your professional skills and develop enhanced subject knowledge. We'll help you nurture your expertise in problem solving, risk-taking, designing and making as you develop your abilities.Become a rigorous and innovative critical thinker and practitioner on Falmouth’s dedicated drawing degree, one of only a few of its kind in the UK.Based within a vibrant and collaborative studio culture, you’ll create ambitious work by developing informed opinions and techniques that combine theory with practice. On this course, you’ll build your skills, expertise and career opportunities by exploring wide-ranging areas of drawing practice and critical studies.You will:Develop technical, design thinking and production skills in your chosen specialismLearn teamwork, leadership and project management skills through a variety of learning environmentsDevelop critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills through the development of unique and innovative projectsComplete your chosen degree over a four-year periodWork in our purpose-built, dedicated suite of studios with like-minded peersStudy a variety of processes and approaches to the discipline, including life drawing, printmaking, etching, digital methods and the moving imageDevelop a portfolio that emphasises the dynamic possibilities and relevance of contemporary drawing practiceWork alongside internationally recognised visiting artistsBenefit from placement opportunities in your second year, making industry connections while exploring the real-world applications of drawing across sectorsHave the chance to exhibit your work throughout your Drawing degree – previous spaces have included Wheal Martyn Clay Works, Gallery Tresco, the Robert Burt Gallery and ShelterBox Truro
