This Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management (AMEM) programme is designed to prepare you for an effective career as a technologists or a manager who can meet the engineering, business and societal challenges of rapidly changing global manufacturing markets and industries. Our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management (AMEM) programme is accredited by The Institution of Mechanical Engineers and The Institution of Engineering and Technology. Our MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management is primarily designed to prepare you for an industrial career but it is equally relevant as preparation to continue your studies onto a relevant research area. We have high-tech laboratories devoted to: Dynamics and control; Electronics; Fluid mechanics; Materials; Mechatronics; Metrology; Optical engineering; Structural integrity; Thermodynamics.

The AMEM programme is aimed at both new graduates and engineering professionals who wish to develop the highly valued knowledge and skills of manufacturing management and its application to wide ranging manufacturing technologies. AMEM Graduates are highly employable and have gone on to numerous manufacturing management and technologist jobs in a wide range of global industries. A number of graduates have also progressed to further specialised research. Recent graduates from Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management MSc have gone on to work at companies including Caterpillar, K C Engineering, National Oilwell Varco, and Siemens.
