COURSE OVERVIEW
Are you looking for an Accounting degree to give you a competitive edge? The BSc Accounting degree at Swansea University will do just that.
If you want a career at one of the ‘big four’ accounting firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG or PwC), or if see yourself as an accountant for a government body, small or large business, not-for-profit organisation, or individual, the BSc Accounting degree will equip you with everything you need.
This degree is ideal if you are dedicated to a career in accountancy. Accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), this course can fast-track an accountancy career by permitting exemptions from key professional examinations.
As an accountant, you will play a fundamental role in the running of a business – big or small. Managing budgets and taxes, financial reporting, completing audits - all are critical in ensuring that a business or organisation runs as effectively and successfully as possible.
Year Abroad
You can study on our Year Abroad variant, which is a four year degree including a year studying at one of our international partner institutions. Choosing this option allows you to develop your communication skills, enhance your cultural awareness and you can even gain proficiency in a foreign language prior to graduation.
You are able to transfer onto the Year Abroad option of your undergraduate degree throughout your first year of study.
