Caring for people living with frailty, in the health or social care sector is influenced by multiple complex factors and demands skilled assessment and management. Building on your existing knowledge from clinical practice, this course is designed to help you develop a solid understanding of best practice in the assessment and management of frail adults.
Course Details
This course is for practitioners who are currently working with frail adults in an assessment or caring capacity. It aims to deepen your understanding of the physical and psychological impact of frailty on a person’s health and wellbeing.
We’ll guide you to explore and evaluate evidence-based methods for detecting frailty and encourage you to consider appropriate theoretical principles as part of your decision making process. Examining the theories surrounding frailty can help you understand the causes of frailty and the long term impact frailty has on health and social care outcomes. We’ll also support you to develop skills in frailty assessment and care‐planning for patients living with frailty.
