Course summary

Turn your passion for animals into your career. Make the most of our 360-hectare campus, working with domestic, wild and exotic species to develop your knowledge and skills in animal training, management and welfare. We have over 70 different species on-site, including meerkats, prairie dogs and wallabies, livestock and horses. The foundation year option will give you the subject-specific knowledge and skills needed to progress onto the BSc degree.You’ll be at the forefront of the latest scientific research and have opportunities to gain industry experience through our partnerships with animal charities, rescue centres and zoos, as well as with our on-site equine and canine therapy businesses. An optional field trip to a South African wildlife reserve will give you valuable insights into international careers. Recent graduate destinations have included roles for the Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Blue Cross, the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), zoos and aquariums, as well as postgraduate study.
