Course summary

Top-up your existing qualifications to a full BSc degree in one year. Develop your expertise in animal behaviour and welfare and turn your passion for animals into your career. Work with 70 species of domestic and non-domestic animals on our 360-hectare campus, and learn to assess animal welfare in different contexts.On this course, you'll be able to top-up your HND, foundation degree or equivalent qualification to a full honours degree. Teaching is supported by our on-site animal collection, including meerkats, rabbits, goats and wallabies, our dairy farm and equine yard. You'll be able to tailor your studies to suit you and develop industry-standard practical skills and graduate with the knowledge and experience to assess animal welfare, measure behaviour, train animals and manage domestic, exotic and wild species.Through exposure to the latest research, you’ll be at the forefront of emerging scientific knowledge. Draw on your own experience and interests to develop your own research question, which you’ll explore through your applied research project.
