Course summary
Professional Accreditation: Animal Health Professions' RegisterThis three year programme of study allows students to progress through a high quality undergraduate course in animal therapy to gain both an academic and a professional qualification. Study will involve both large and companion animals with a major focus being on horses and dogs. However, there is the opportunity to specialise in either the canine or equine professional massage qualification in year three which is run by Equinenergy or Caninenergy and embedded into the degree programme. If you are successful in this programme you have the opportunity to move on to the Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy (this MSc course is a three year part time programme eligible for funding from student finance).Our team at Writtle have a wide range of knowledge which covers both academic and professional experience. We have two veterinary surgeons, nutrition and behaviour specialists, biomechanists and a range of experienced therapy staff that are qualified in veterinary physiotherapy, animal manipulation (McTimoney), massage and myofascial release.
