Course summary
If you are finding it hard to decide between two subjects you enjoy, you could tailor your degree with a combined honours course. Variety, flexibility and a chance to maximise your employability are just some of the advantages on offer when you choose to study a combined honours degree. And Canterbury Christ Church University offers one of the widest selection of combined honours degrees in the UK.**Applied Criminology**Criminology is the study of crime, criminal justice and its relationship with society; it dominates national and world news reports and is a constant feature in entertainment media. This degree prepares you for a range of exciting career paths focusing on criminal justice and the treatment of victims and offenders. You will explore the true nature, extent and causes of crime, along with the methods used to manage crime and criminal behaviour. Our experienced teaching staff will take you through key criminological theories, applying them to your understanding of crime, the experiences of offenders and victims in the criminal justice system, and the ways in which society constructs crime problems and responds to criminal behaviour. The varied expertise of the teaching staff allows you to explore these themes from a range of perspectives. You will also be supported by a range of criminal justice professionals and agencies, who teach on the programme and provide volunteering and networking opportunities to help prepare you for your career.**Business Management**Get the skills you need to become a confident business manager. Good business management is at the centre of every successful organisation. Our degree allows you to build your knowledge and understanding of organisations and how they are managed. You'll study fundamental areas of business, finance, HR, marketing and operations, and the macro and micro environments in which they operate including cultural, social and ethical issues. You'll have opportunities to examine real-life organisational problems by making the most of the strong links between Christ Church Business School and a wide range of local, regional and national organisations.
