Course summary
Psychology is a fascinating subject for anyone curious to know why we behave the way we do. From the way we teach our children to the way we care for our elderly, from the way we sell products to the way in which we consume them, and from the way we develop as individuals to the way in which we come together in groups, psychology helps us form a deeper understanding, and sometimes surprises us!Our applied psychology course focuses on ways in which psychological theory and research helps us understand, and indeed influences, the way in which we live our lives. At its core, it is focused around the many different approaches psychologists use fully to understand behaviour. The emphasis on understanding the practical ways in which psychology can be put to work, its links with the local community and businesses, and the prominence it places on personal employability, are intended to give graduates from the course a particularly attractive portfolio to present to potential employers.
