Course summary

Blending lab and field science within an academic framework, this dual focus degree bridges the disciplines of science and humanities. You'll receive expert-led theoretical and practical training that covers everything from crime scene science to toxicology, from chemistry to molecular biology, plus anthropology, and genocide investigation. What’s more you’ll have the chance to select some of the units you study, and in a bid to improve your employability prospects once you graduate, the course interlaces a five or 30-week period in placement (depending on the length of the course you choose).Graduates have gone on to work in roles for English Heritage, Historic Scotland and the National Trust, leading commercial units such as the Museum of London Archaeology Services, Oxford Archaeology and Wessex Archaeology, as well as a host of museums and archaeological consultancies, to name a few.88% of our final year students say staff are good at explaining things. There was insufficient data to publish information specifically for this course. This is either because the course size is small or respondent numbers were low. Therefore, the data displayed is for all students in forensic and archaeological sciences. Therefore, the data displayed is for all students in forensic and archaeological sciences.
