Course summary
Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road Campus.For Forensic biology, a combination of forensic aspects with a thorough grounding in the traditional science of biology, in particular the molecular biology techniques and DNA profiling. The techniques learnt are transferable to other biological disciplines and provide a solid foundation for anyone wanting to study further.Archaeology is the study of the human past, from the hunter-gatherers of Ice Age Europe to the inhabitants of modern cities. At Chester, our course provides you with an understanding of these past societies and the techniques that we use to study them. The course aims to provide you with a wide range of skills, such as field survey and excavation, critical reading and writing, and scientific analysis; as well as the opportunity to specialise in particular periods or themes.
