Course summary

HND Art Practice is an intensive, hands-on course that allows you to develop your own conceptual and visually dynamic creative identity. This course enables students to engage in a broad skill base in 2D and 3D media such as; painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, kiln formed glass and creative image making, all of which are underpinned by cultural and contextual studies.Housed in the historic setting of Penzance School of Art or Truro College's Tregye Campus, the HND Art Practice at Penwith College is a course which encourages the development of a personal fine art identity through direct practical engagement with materials and processes. You will be challenged to investigate a diverse range of media, develop your own innovative visual language and realise your creative potential both as an individual and as a collaborator. Curatorial and professional practice will be integrated throughout the course in conjunction with regional and international practising artists, designers, curators and galleries.
