Course summary

Being a secondary art and design teacher is all about creative exploration and self-expression. You’ll help students develop practical skills like drawing, painting and digital design, as well as encourage them to think critically about art and its role in society.Our Secondary Art and Design PGCE leads to QTS – the professional teaching qualification.Brighton has earned an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted and you’ll benefit from learning within facilities that replicate those used in schools with a team of experts who have practical classroom experience.You’ll gain experience on placement, go on field trips and have opportunities to get involved in activities with our partners, including Glyndebourne.
