Course summary

The BA Art History & Visual Culture will give you the essential tools to interpret works of art (including architecture and design) as well as images, objects and practices of the visually dominated world in which we live. Through the flexible structure of the degree, you can study the history and theory of painting, sculpture, print-making and architecture, alongside film, video, performance and digital art.The programme offers the opportunity to study an exciting range of films from different periods and international contexts; you will watch films from American, European, Asian and African cinemas.
