Survey courses are combined with more media-specific subjects, such as architecture, landscapes and painting. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the production and reception of art across a wide geographical and chronological span, and interpret moments of history as manifested in works of art from antiquity to the contemporary, originating from a number of diverse cultures. You will look at traditional areas such as Italian Renaissance sculpture, French Modernist paintings and Western architecture after 1851; and it will engage in-depth with Byzantine, Islamic and North American Culture.
