In the second year, the emphasis in on practice: students are able to apply the core skills acquired at Level 4 and through collaborative practice a number of key technical industry roles (sound engineering, on-location sound recordist, mastering engineer, live sound engineer) will be explored; students will also investigate a number of key creative roles within the industry (sound designer, foley artist, dialogue editor, media composer); and concept and design roles (studio designer, broadcast engineer, audio electronics engineer).
