Clinical experience with compassionStudents at St Mary’s will learn the art of medicine through authentic service to patients in diverse, bespoke, and innovative NHS/community settings in London from Year 1, some examples are given below: Year 1 & 2: Students will be based in Primary Care and a Music Therapy Charity. Students will undertake social action projects with local community groups with meaningful outcomes.Year 3, 4 & 5: Students will be trained in health coaching, tackling preventable illness, lifestyle factors and social isolation. Students will take on patient advocacy roles, working alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team to support patients and improve patient outcomes.
