Biology is the science of life and is at the forefront of social change, from the use of genetically-modified organisms to humanity’s effect on the environment, and sustainable energy and food production. A range of optional modules allows you to specialise in the areas that interest you most and includes modules focusing on neuroscience, climate change and conservation, immunology, virology, aging, bioinformatics and genomics, cell signalling, pathogens and pathogenicity and primate biology. In your final year, you complete your own research project.
