Course summary

Learn about life at all levels, from molecules and cells to whole organisms. On this biology degree you'll explore species, communities and entire ecosystems. This broad view will give you the skills you'll need to work around the world in the areas of biology that interest you most. Each year you'll improve your skills and knowledge and use our wide range of expertise in biological science. This includes: ecology, microbiology, neuroscience. This biology course will help develop your practical skills and experience. You'll also have many opportunities for field trips and laboratory work.Southampton is a research university. We're home to the UK's first Cancer Immunology Research Centre, and we're a lead university of the Biofilms Institute. Our research feeds directly into what you'll learn on our biology courses.
