Finding solutions to current and future health issues is tough, but at NTU we’ll support you to gain the right skills to face the challenge. Biomedical engineering is a very diverse field which is also developing rapidly. To help you to become a bioengineer of the future, we work closely with industry to ensure you are as well-prepared as possible for a career in this exciting and rewarding industry.We’ll teach you to become an effective problem solver by combining your biomedical engineering skills with a detailed knowledge of mechanical and electronic engineering, human performance and biomedicine. Areas of bioengineering covered on this course are biomaterials, bioinstrumentation, biomechanics, medical imaging, rehabilitation, and cellular, tissue, and genetic engineering.We’ll give you the opportunity to take part in our industry Grand Challenge, whilst studying Masters level modules in your final year. This provides the balance of advanced knowledge and practical skills employers demand.We are partnering with industry every step of the way to ensure that you become the very best engineer of the future by working with all types and sizes of engineering organisations. In our innovative approach, you’ll spend a large proportion of your time each year applying theory to live, industry-led projects. You’ll also have the opportunity to apply for a year-long work placement to boost your industry knowledge even further.
