Biomedical scientists diagnose illnesses, analyse how effective treatment is and help in identifying outbreaks of infectious diseases. You study genetics, molecular and cellular biology, human physiology and disease, metabolism, immunology, haematology and blood transfusion, and pathogens. You can also choose modules in areas such as the biology of ageing, neuroscience, virology and cancer biology. In your final year, you complete your own research project.You spend a year studying abroad at one of our partner institutions which could be in the USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, or Europe. The teaching is in English and the exchange take place between your second and final year.
