Why Business Administration and Management? If you’ve already studied management and would like to gain a deeper understanding to degree level, this could be the course for you. We’ll focus on the functional areas of business, exploring management and leadership in both in a theoretical and applied context. How will you learn? You will learn through practical application and delivered lectures, workshops, seminars and group work sessions. * This one-year course will give you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of management. * You’ll have the chance to develop your administrative skills alongside your understanding of organisational change. * As you progress, we’ll encourage you to develop an area of special interest and expertise by choosing particular modules. * The course has been developed in close association with employers and professional bodies. * We also work closely with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and you’ll have the opportunity to achieve a CMI qualification in Management and Leadership through no additional study or assessment. What subjects will you cover? You’ll explore subjects such as Leadership, Strategy, Business Responsibility and Sustainability and Cross Cultural Studies.Students choosing this course will have the exceptional opportunity to be confronted with forefront knowledge in business studies, in an international, supportive and stimulating environment. Students and staff come from different cultural backgrounds, this providing a unique experience when delving into topics such as strategy, leadership, corporate social responsibility, in an era of global business. Every lecture is accompanied with tutorial in small groups, this allowing to couple study of theory with experiential learning. In addition, there is the opportunity to select option modules so to build a specific area of expertise, this making a difference in one's own professional profile. Former students have become sales executives, account managers, project managers, banking executives, human resource professionals and even a forensic accountant to name just a few. ~ Dr Viviana Meschitti, Senior Lecturer in Business and ManagementProfessional links and accreditation: You can register with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) (http://www.managers.org.uk/) providing a further qualification and enhancing your CV through membership of a professional body. Upon successful completion of the course and after completing the registration, achieve a CMI qualification in Management and Leadership. This accreditation is reviewed on a regular basis.
