With the increasing use of data in business decision making, there is a need for graduates with a strong understanding of the tools and methodologies used for business analysis. Learn to interpret data and use the results to inform business direction. Gain the skills needed to excel in all sectors of the global economy. Learn from industry figures through our connections with Citigroup, Nomura, Morgan Stanley, IBM and HP.Build management and leadership skills.Learn to use the principal software tools for business analysis and graduate with certifications that demonstrate your practical skills.What you'll studyThis programme is jointly run by the School of Business and Management and School of Mathematical Sciences. Students will have the opportunity to develop their mathematical and statistical knowledge, as well as gain practical experience of using leading software tools. The course material aims to equip students with the skills to manage IT and analytics specialists, and to understand the leadership and organisational challenges associated with the digitisation of business processes. It examines how robust findings can be obtained from analytics and applied to the direction of businesses. The programme is taught using real-world cases from different markets and countries, and draws on the experience of an advisory group of current managers from real digital businesses. Summer placement opportunities with these industry partners may be available.
