In an environment that is constantly evolving, studying Business and Financial Management gives you an understanding of the challenges faced by governments and organisations worldwide, as well as the skills and knowledge to work in a high-level business or managerial career.As a Business and Financial Management student, you will study these two complementary and globally relevant subjects through a programme that is industry-informed and career-focused. By developing modules around the current needs of businesses, we ensure you have the knowledge and critical skills required to succeed in a fast-paced and lucrative sector.With Professional Development options, exemptions from professional examinations such as ACCA and Sage training embedded in your first year, graduating with a degree in Business and Financial Management means graduating with the necessary skills to take the first steps in your career. You can enhance your career options with a year-long industrial placement giving you the opportunity to apply the skills, knowledge and understanding you have gained in the first two years of the course. You will work with an employer either in the UK or overseas; this could be a local, national or international organisation. In 2016-17, these included such as the NHS and Fiat Chrysler. During this year, you will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do. There are different entry requirements and course codes for the Professional Experience Year option. This course is also available with the option to Study Abroad with one of our partner Universities for a semester or a year. The degree is also offered with a Foundation Year.
