The Economics Pathway will enable students to address global challenges and local opportunities by applying economics to policy problems,focusing on issues such as climate change, sustainability, wellbeing and obesity, inequality and unemployment.Whether you are a budding entrepreneur, a CEO of the future or a Marketing Director in the making our Business and Management course will give you a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of modern business.Along the way, you’ll develop the core skills you need to excel in all kinds of businesses, and start to build a clear picture of exactly where those skills could take you.**More about the Professional Placement Year**A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where a student undertakes a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between the students' second and third years of undergraduate study. Students can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) themselves with support from the Careers & Employability Team.
